The Triebaumer family has been in Rust since 1691 and has focused on wine ever since. Not only this, but also other delicatessen products are available from the Triebaumer family. Particularly important is the connection to the origin and the natural growth of the soil and plants on it. Here you can taste that the full potential of the soil is exploited in every single sip.
Maturing in mostly wooden barrels, from 300 to 5,000 litres, in their traditional cellars allows the young wines to develop without any intervention. This leads to the tightly woven and impressive product that we love to drink.
Diversity creates a stability in the ecosystem that fully embraces the vines and the grapes that ripen on them. These growing conditions for the grapes, finding the perfect time for harvesting, selective hand-picking with the highest standards and natural yeasts are the basis for a vinification that is based on craft, time and basic trust and produces wines that are bursting with joie de vivre and individuality for decades to come.
With the totality of their work, the family lays the foundation for wine with which the complete range of the Rust soils and the respective grape varieties – first and foremost Blaufränkisch – can be experienced unadorned with the full inner tension, structure and profundity sip after sip.
